this wedding sucks..

it was no wedding of the year, if people attendance is to be the gauge.. blame it partially on the rain which almost ruined the occasion.. but anyway despite the relatively private affair wherein we saw only family members and several close friends of the couple, it was a pretty big event in our lives, specially us, the “ever-there” cohorts of the groom.. unfortunately (or fortunately) jerry and I weren't sitting side by side during the ceremony (he is the worst, er.. best man so he was somewhere nearer the couple) or the priest could have thrown us out of the imus cathedral.. we just cant imagine lynyrd getting married that much that we could have described silly to each other every little things that was happening during the wedding.. and that could be quite loud with lots of stupid giggles at the side.. so finally he got married.. and I uttered the words “this sucks” at least 30 times this day.. it was already yesterday actually..

so I was asked to light their way.. duh.. cant they light it before we come to save me and my partner the trouble.. hehehe.. along with me on the lighting trip was tintin, apparently doc ahyin’s (the bride) best buddy in college.. we saw each other again after several years.. she looks pretty same.. and shes also a dentist now..

I dont usually listen to catholic priests blarbs (goodness, I dont even go to church anymore) but somehow I managed to listen since I have no one to talk to anyway.. surprisingly, the priest talked with so much sense.. just like those forwarded articles on e-mail about relationships.. so logical and so biblical..

The reception was held in the clubhouse of centennial homes subdivision.. the food was nice and the tables were placed around the pool.. it took us sometimes before we got to eat because the friggin host was late.. and its part of the reception program to announce the arrival of the entourage.. while waiting, lynyrd was telling me “ pare sa dasma yata nakarating, naligaw na.. ” referring to dasmarinas town which is roughly 15 kilometers from our location.. and there and then I said “ this sucks ” for about the 26th time.. anyway, she finally came, we got to eat, saw some friends and former classmates (including the one which I forgot to ask for her number), doc tintin caught the bouquet, jerry got the garter, they did the “ higher! ” thing, and they even danced and jerry got to give her a buss on the cheek.. cool..

We finally left the place (we waited for quite a while for our ride home) at around 11 pm, carrying each a music cd souvenir containing the couples choice love songs.. I went straight home while jerry accompanied her girlfriend home.. it was.. well.. a day..

On my winamp: guns n roses, paradise city (aah.. highschool days..)
