monday afternoon was spent by making one of my biggest semi-impulsive decisions in life, and probably my last 'japresto-cum-designer-coffee-all-in-an-hour' act in the next three hundred and sixty five days. unless of course my latest life-enhancing scheme works. anyways, seth and dro were with me.. though i thought it was much deserved after a scorching-hot drive inside an airconditioning-less EL from imus to gma to silang, then a rain-drenched, empty-stomach descent from silang to sm-dasmarinas. i can see those OR's of glads and curly amounting to 500 bucks claiming fee each. herherher. lesson of the day: ask what's there is to ask, read signs, and use your instincts. no matter what's this all about, it will work anyway. it's generic.
i love blogging during unholy hours.

what if..
..just when you thought you've got a potential major plan B, suddenly the thing that came crashing to your face on plan A resurfaced on plan B, and hit the bejesus out of you once more? create plan C?
i actually did. and it's working perfectly well. plan A is dead forever, but not before saving some of it for plan B to work which is good enough for some occasions.
another vague idea from lonix.

ala wenta..
i wasn't really supposed to blog today, in fact i thought of not posting until november 1. just that. anyway, i went out for a while just half an hour ago to buy benzoyl peroxide (for me. crap.) on a mercury drug store inside the nearby robinson's mall. then i saw this man ahead of me urinating on the galvanized sheet-made makeshift wall of a sari-sari store. then after the 'downloading' process, he struggled to button his pants, it almost fell twice. in fact his underwear is already slightly showing up from behind. great, the dude is drunk. then he made a few steps, albeit struggling to walk straight, towards the facade of the store where his drinking buddy (the store owner) is waiting for him. then i thought of the time, it's 20 before six, and it ain't dark outside yet. and they already had it this early.
i noticed this sort of generation gap in terms of drinking before. at first i thought it's limited only to the provinces. last december when we went to sto. domingo, ilocos sur, roni and i were forced to drink as early as 4 o'clock in the afternoon. i was drunk silly by 8 o'clock (roni was just silly).. then i saw this man. cavite is a province, but hell, the place near the public market here in imus is worse than baclaran, mind you. so anyway, i just wondered why we, the generation so-called 'X' likes to start it late, while the generation of our parents and young uncles prefers to jumpstart while the sun is still proud. i guess they have this twisted version of a famous mantra: "early to drink, early to rise, makes an alcoholic healthy and wise". hehe..
when the dude returned to the store front, i overheard him speaking-in-drunk-tounges, apparently bidding goodbye to his drinking mate and to the little girl standing near them. see, i understood it.. at least we have a common language.
p.s. i already got the pictures from last week's bash.. but i'm still too lazy to post them here. since i'm on dial-up, i have to be really hyper to fix things, specially uploading stuff. so there. probably on november 1. hekhekhekk..

the following conversation happened last monday, lunchtime.. it so happened that in our Business Unit (BU), all male managers are required to wear a tie every monday..
Mark (an engineer from my former BU): o sir, bakit hindi ka naka-kurbata?
LoN: baket? manager ba ko?
Mark: sige, ipagpe-pray kong maging manager ka rin..
LoN: hayuf ka..!
go figure.

suddenly i was thinking the other day.. and it sure makes me ponder to no end, that what i do right now is not the career that i wanted all along when i took up my degree in college.. did i take the wrong path in school, or did i make the wrong way after school? well of course it may have been a different story if i'm earning above my defined satisfactory income level.. then i asked myself again.. what if it is the case.. then i came into a conclusion.. this is not for me.. i want to shift direction.. if i just can quit right now, i'll do it.. but times are hard and we have no relation whatsoever to the Ayala's, Tan's, or Sy's.. there's no room for indecisiveness anymore.. had not for it, baka nasa Taiwan na din ako, taking a shot at the overseas-job thing.. i've some plans and schemes, i'll just wait and see.. as for now, i'm a day-to-day basis professional..
to andro: seryoso ako sa italian kitchen natin, hehe..
blogger's block's over, i think..
