Hey, there. I see this riddle has been posted like 8 years ago. I'm hoping this post get's seen somehow, so this is just, really, a stab in the dark. I also came across it in an old Reader's Digest. Somehow I thought of it tonight, googled some of the words and found this page. I also forgot how I figured it out initially, but I just decided to get outof bed and just figure it out again. I just did, in under, about, 20 minutes, I think. Anyway, here's the answer...

Between the 4 knights there were 6 rounds, with each of the knights taking part in 3 of them, as each 'met the other just once'. If 'no two knights won the same number of tilts' then 1 knight must have lost all 3 his rounds, 1 knight won 1 round, 1 knight won 2 rounds and the last knight won all of his rounds. Another key to figuring out the riddle is to figure out each knight's name, title, colour and how many rounds each won.

Therefore, the answer is...

Sir Richard is 'The Brave', his colour is Burgandy and he lost all of his 3 rounds.

Sir Steven is 'The Bold', his colour is Emerald and he won 1 round out of 3.

Sir Paul is 'The Loyal', his colour is White and he won 2 out of 3 rounds

And the winner is...

Sir John, known as 'The Stout-Hearted', whose colour is Gold and he won all of his 3 rounds

Am I right? Please lemme know: abdulmugheeth@gmail.com
